Can you outrun the police? The Ridgefield Police Benevolent Association hosts this fun and unique 5k that benefits the Women’s Center of Greater Danbury. The runners all get a head start, then the Ridgefield Police Officers “give chase!” The sponsor of this event will give an extra $1 per runner for every runner that the officers collectively “catch” (pass)! Runners receive a souvenir tech tee shirt (women’s fit available).
RACE-DAY REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE AT THE START/FINISH LINE, BUT WE CANNOT GUARANTEE YOU A SHIRT.
Starting and finishing at the parking lot of the Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 7:30 AM, this family-friendly race winds it’s way around downtown Ridgefield and traverses roads, wooded trails, around buildings, and the Ridgefield Rail Trail! Please note that this is a multi-surface course involving roads, sidewalks, stairs, grassy fields, wooded single-track trails, and the hard-packed gravel of the Ridgefield Rail Trail. Some surfaces might be slippery and you might get muddy!
Limited parking is available at Yanity Gym and Ridgefield Playhouse parking lots. (Note that you might not be able to exit the lot while the race is in progress.) Plentiful parking is available at East Ridge Middle School and the Town of Ridgefield’s Governor Street lots.
