Tennis is a popular hobby among Ridgefield residents. A membership is required to use the tennis courts at the town’s country clubs, but public tennis courts are available at the Ridgefield High School and the Justine H. Butler Tennis Courts. Ridgefield High School has 6 great courts that can be used by the public when students are not using them. The Justine H. Butler Tennis Courts are free for public use when the Ridgefield Parks & Recreation tennis programs and the Ridgefield High School tennis team are not in session. Also, Ridgefield Parks & Recreation offers an instructional tennis program for both kids and adults.
