Cass Gilbert Fountain

Cass Gilbert was a talented and successful New York architect who lived in Ridgefield during the 20^th century. As a gesture of goodwill and kindness toward the town, Gilbert designed and donated the marble fountain that gracefully sits at the intersection of Main Street and West Lane. While it is over 100 years old, the fountain was officially accepted by the town and dedicated in 2016. It continues to be a historic landmark and a quintessential symbol of Ridgefield that all residents have come to cherish.
