About

The Lounsbury House is a National Historic Site that was built in 1896 by former Connecticut Governor Phineas C. Lounsbury. It is currently owned by the town of Ridgefield as a nonprofit organization with a Board of Directors and a small staff who are committed to overlooking its maintenance and preservation. The house serves as an event space and community center for Ridgefield as well as the surrounding towns. It frequently collaborates with Ridgefield residents, organizations, and businesses to bring cultural, historical, and informative events to town.
