Spooktacular Halloween Happenings in Ridgefield

It’s the spookiest time of year and Ridgefield has no shortage of events to get your little witches and ghouls in the spirit for fun and festive Halloween celebrations. Take a look at all the festive (and spooky!) events happening this October.

Trick-or-Treat with Horses

October 20th-22nd and 27th-29th from 3pm to 7pm
Rising Starr Horse Rescue

All are invited to Trick-or-Treat with horses of Rising Starr Horse Rescue in October! Each horse will have a treat for you! Take a stroll (if you dare!) through the woods for more Halloween excitement.

October 20th from 6:30pm to 9pm
Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield

Join us this Friday, October 20th, for our Halloween Kids Night Out! Kids can expect a night filled with Halloween themed gym games, game room tournaments and art activities, as well as our famous Halloween Parade!

Woodcock Nature Center

Come enjoy the season while learning about local wildlife! Bring the whole family to meet some of our resident misunderstood animals. Make a recycled bat craft, and enjoy a scavenger hunt on our trails to learn about spooky and mysterious wildlife! Come in your Halloween costume!

Pumpkin Decorating Workshop

Saturday, October 21st from 1-2pm
Ridgefield Library

Families with children in Grades K-5. Bring your own mini-pumpkin (or register online for a library-provided pumpkin) to decorate as a favorite book or movie character. Put your pumpkin on display in the Library for the Pumpkin Decorating Contest or bring it home.

Friday, October 27th – Sunday, October 29th from 5-7pm
Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center

Traverse the museum’s site and meet the ghosts of some of Ridgefield’s former residents who are eager to share their stories with passersby. Tickets are selling out quickly, but spots are still available!
