Check out the robust concert schedule at the Ridgefield Playhouse and indulge in a fine dining experience before or after. Let the show’s mood guide your palate! Savor TerraSole’s Italian cuisine and selection of creative seasonal martinis, or head to the northern Mediterranean and share a few tapas and wine at Tablao. You can enjoy the season’s best with impeccable farm-to -table fare at Bailey’s Backyard, or American with a French twist at Ridgefield’s newest spot, The Benjamin.
For an especially unique night, bring dinner to the show! The Ridgefield Theater Barn opens again with a variety of cabaret style shows this fall, and encourages guests to bring food in. Pick up a delicious, prepared meal or selection of goodies from À Table! Nibble on homemade, classic French bites that taste like you’re dining out, while enjoying a fabulous show at one of Ridgefield’s most beloved venues.
If you thought it would be hard to choose a venue, it’s about to get more difficult in a good way. Head to Tequila Escape for cocktails before enjoying a performance at ACT of Connecticut – and go back for dinner after! Their Broadway-esque shows will leave you feeling like you traveled into the big city for the night. Follow up a great show with a late dinner – after seeing the menu at Tequila Escape you’ll be hard-pressed not to want to try another cocktail and the food from their fabulous menu.
Sitting down in front of the silver screen is one of the easiest ways to enjoy an entertaining afternoon or evening and few things pair better with a flick than popcorn and pizza. Cozy up in the Prospector Theater on a rainy afternoon and indulge in their specialty Prospector Popcorn, available in a variety of flavors. Make a night of it by heading over to 850 Degrees or Brick House before or after for authentic brick oven pizza and a relaxing drink. It’s still the perfect time of year to enjoy one of their outdoor patios as well.
There is nothing like spending a sunny afternoon outside especially as the seasons shift. Especially when you can enjoy a casual lunch al fresco before strolling our wonderful galleries. Enjoy a little Tex-Mex on the patio of Southwest Café, or pop into one of our favorite burger spots. Bareburger caters to the health conscious with offerings other than a classic patty, and Prime Burger is the ultimate downtown spot and will answer your call for a delicious shake too.
You’ll be ready to walk off lunch and feast your eyes on the exquisite exhibits at several galleries. The Aldrich will always please the contemporary art lover and on the weekends hosts tours and other events. Fall in Ridgefield wouldn’t be the same without our festivals throughout the season. Check out our Events Calendar and stay abreast of all the fun coming up over the next couple of months! On Main Street, stop by Chez Lenard for a hot dog while enjoying a fall day’s events, or grab a blanket and take a picnic to Ballard Park. And when the annual Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off Festival comes to town, before cheering for your favorite over-sized squash, grab a pumpkin spiced latté from Tazza Café, Botanika Café, Queen B Coffee Company, or Ross Bread!
