Senior Cinema – This summer, Ridgefield Playhouse is very pleased to offer six handpicked films for our seniors – for FREE! While the films have been selected for our senior audience, all films are free and open to the community. We invite you to bring your friends, cool off in our beautiful theater, and enjoy these classic films on the big screen, the way they were meant to be enjoyed.

Troy Maxson makes his living as a sanitation worker in 1950s Pittsburgh. Maxson once dreamed of becoming a professional baseball player, but was deemed too old when the major leagues began admitting black athletes. Bitter over his missed opportunity, Troy creates further tension in his family when he squashes his son’s chance to meet a college football recruiter.
