Museum Explorers featuring KTM&HC

In February, KTM&HC is being featured in Ridgefield Library’s Museum Explorers, a monthly series for kids in grades K-2! Join Library staff and KTM&HC’s Director of Education, Melissa Houston, on February 21 for a fun program that combines in-person activities and virtual visits.

Museum Explorers provides young people – and their families – an opportunity to learn about the members of Ridgefield Library’s Museum Pass program. Classes, held in the Leir Children’s Program Room at the Library, will “visit” a different museum each month. Explore each museum’s special exhibitions and archives through books, crafts, and experiments! Students and their families are encouraged to follow up this class with an in-person visit by borrowing one of our Museum Passes for free or discounted admission.

February’s “visit” is to Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center! Learn about the site’s centuries of history and see how different parts of the museum tell stories about the people who lived and worked there over the years. Includes fun, hands-on activities!

Registration is required and opens on January 21st.
