Identifying Sparrows: Winter Birding Walk

Saturday, January 13 from 7:30 – 9 am

Rise with the birds and join Woodcock educator Tommy McCarthy in learning to spot and identify birds that are around during winter! Sparrows are easily some of the trickiest birds to tell apart for beginners – participants will be led along our orange trail to learn tips that can help identify sparrows and other winter birds by sight and sound. Winter is a great time to learn, as there are a few species that cannot be seen in Connecticut during other seasons!
