History on Tap

Come have a drink at Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center (KTM&HC)! Back for a second year in a row, History on Tap is a fun and casual evening of beer tastings, delicious food, and live programming – and tickets for this October 6 event are on sale now.

We’re going back to our (historic tavern) roots with History on Tap. On Friday, October 6 from 6 to 9 p.m., attendees can learn about and sample drinks from a great group of local breweries, including Reverie Brewing Company from Newtown, Nod Hill Brewery from Ridgefield, and Athletic Brewing Company, a national company known for its non-alcoholic brews. More breweries will be announced in the coming weeks – stay tuned! Pair tastings with delicious gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches and sides from Melt Mobile, a local food truck with rave reviews, and sing along to historic drinking songs.

The evening will also feature exclusive live discussions: KTM&HC Museum Associate Ish Gupta will explore the historical intersections of taverns and music in the 18th and 19th centuries; and KTM&HC Chief Curator Catherine Prescott and historian Mary Tsaltas-Ottomanelli, hosts of the popular Taproom Tastings virtual series, will chat about historic tavern drink trends and lead a historical drink-making demonstration. Guests will also have special access to our exhibit #HandsOnHistory: Living Off the Land.

All proceeds benefit KTM&HC’s mission-driven work. Tickets are $65 each and include unlimited tastings, coupons for food, a limited edition KTM&HC-branded glass, access to all programming.
