Artist's Reception for Dennis Stevens, "A Look Around"

Please join us at the Ridgefield Library on Saturday, December 2nd from 2-4:00 PM for an artist’s reception for A Look Around: Paintings by Dennis Stevens.  An award-winning artist, Stevens will display his artworks from December 1 through December 28 in the Library’s Art Gallery.

Steven’s artworks are traditional and representational and also explore narrative themes in nature. Each painting has its own story. Some stories are obvious while some are subtle and take time to unearth. It is the artist’s hope that viewers will find their own story in his paintings and that they will be a source of delight.

Dennis Stevens Bio: Born in a tiny town in Iowa, the son of a sheep shearer and housewife, Dennis graduated from Drake University with a major in art and a minor in advertising. He held many prestigious positions in advertising before devoting his time to painting. Stevens held art director/creative director positions at LOOK Magazine, Lennen and Newell Pacific, Needham Harper and Steers, Doyle Dane Bernbach and Young and Rubicam. He has lived in Iowa, Texas, Alaska, Hawaii, Chicago and New York. Stevens has been honored with many painting, advertising, and illustration awards. Stevens lives and works in Cranbury, CT.
