An Afternoon with Antique Book Collector Nick Alexander

Nick Alexander started collecting old books at the Friends of Ridgefield Library book sales, local thrift shops and the Kent Library summer book sale some 10 years ago. Alexander’s collection today includes books that are around 500 years old (some restored by himself), a family heirloom of E M Forster (from a library sale), a potential royal scandal from 1927 and a book signed by H G Wells that was purchased in Manhattan for $10.

Nick recently came to possess a collection of 800-year-old chant music and is looking to share the magic they bring.  He will speak at the Ridgefield Library on Sunday, February 4th at 2:00 PM.
