It was one of those hot afternoons when nothing seems to help to cool off. The perfect day to escape for a pampering treatment! I got an enticing offer I couldn’t refuse from our friends at The Gift MedSpa and headed over to their oasis of tranquility on Main Street to experience some long overdue self-indulgence.
To start my journey, I reviewed their extensive menu of skin and body care treatments. Not familiar with the plethora of the latest skincare techniques, I was guided by Chief Esthetician Jiayao Sciarrino, who consulted with me to uncover the best treatment for my skin type and lifestyle.

My customized treatment
As soon as I entered the tranquil treatment room my cares slipped away. Lights down, robe on, and peaceful silence. And then the magic began… Jiayao recommended the Diamond Glow treatment, aptly named since the experience felt like the height of luxury! This was followed by a Laser Genesis Facial to diminish signs of aging. I luxuriated with each step of my custom treatment:
Exfoliate – To begin, dry and damaged skin cells were gently exfoliated from my skin surface. Purifying steam and gentle massage added to the deep cleanse. Jaiyao explained that the exfoliation step helps to reveal a younger, smoother skin layer beneath.
Extract – All impurities were then extracted, clearing my pores to soak up the special serum. This was done with a high-tech, yet very gentle, device that suctioned away all my skin’s impurities. It was an amazing sensation as I could feel all the residue gently removed from my skin.
The relaxing facial treatment begins
Biocellulose Sheet Masque hydrated my skin
Infuse – A custom serum was formulated especially for my skin type. The serum infused my skin through a special mask containing vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. This felt soothing and delightful. I honestly didn’t want the treatment to end.
Laser – As the last step in my customized treatment, I experienced the Laser Genesis Facial. This procedure felt tingly, yet comfortable, as Jiayao guided the gentle laser around my face and neck. The goal was to diminish fine lines and wrinkles using a non-invasive method. There was zero down time and I was ready to go out on the town right after the treatment!

How did I feel after my treatment? Totally relaxed and rejuvenated. My skin hadn’t felt this clean, nourished, brightened, and smooth in ages. The treatment was immensely relaxing, and it felt so good to finally pamper myself after neglecting my skin for way too long. I’m already looking forward to my next treatment!
