This New Years, start the year (and decade) off with something new! Ridgefield has endless activities to offer for those who are willing to break out of their comfort zone, do something new and exciting, or finally commit to that goal that has been pushed aside every year. Take a look at the list of new ways to spend your time in Ridgefield in 2020!

Get moving

Whether its spending time outdoors on Ridgefield’s hiking trails, exploring Weir Farm, trying a new fitness class, or simply walking on Main Street – get moving! Exercise improves not only physical health, but mental health as well – and in Ridgefield there plenty of different ways to get your body moving. You can try fitness and spinning classes at Joyride Studios, pilates at The Pilates Barre, or high intensity training at Fitguana. Plus, get running with Ridgefield Running Company, biking with Ridgefield Bicycle Company, or sign up for a yoga class at any of Ridgefield’s many great studios!

Try out a new hobby

Starting a new hobby always seems to be last on our list of priorities, and it’s time to change that! Get your creativity going this year with an art class at Ridgefield Guild of Artists or The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum. For those less art inclined, take up knitting at nancy O’s and or try out jewelry making at Zoe & Co. Sugarbeads and Guilded Lynx – which doubles as a hobby and way to personalize gifts for your loved ones!

Feather your nest

Have you been wanting to make a change inside your home but it was never the right time? Well, the time is now! Get excited about a home project and make it happen with the help of Ridgefield’s talented interior design and furniture shops. Let Custom Interiors of Ridgefield or Olley Court help create the space of your dreams, and visit the Colby’s of Ridgefield showroom to find the perfect way to decorate your wall space! Additionally, find that perfect piece of furniture at Interiors & Designs by Ursula, or stop by Nicole Grey and Co. to pick up new unique home decor.

Treat Yourself

Whether it’s a haircut or a makeover, take the plunge this January to try a look you’ve always wanted! Try out the Whip Salon for a fresh haircut or simply treat yourself to a relaxing massage at the Adam Broderick Salon and Spa. In this New Year, make sure to fill your cup first and enjoy a day taking care of YOU!

Embrace the arts

We are lucky here in Ridgefield, because we have a perfect combination of theater, arts, and music to enrich our cultural experiences. With cold weather outside, winter is the perfect time to enjoy world-class entertainment. Experience the beauty of sound at a concert by the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra, indulge in visual arts at Ridgefield Guild of Artists, or see a show at the Ridgefield Playhouse.
