About

The First Congregational Church of Ridgefield has been welcoming families and individuals since the establishment of the Ridgefield. The first settlers of the town started petitioning for a church in 1712 and they were finally able to open their first meeting house on the green in 1726. However, as Ridgefield began to develop and change, the church moved from the green to its present day location in 1888. Today, the church is not only a place of worship in town, but also it serves as an event space for concerts and lectures.
