Find a gift for everyone on your list. Browse through our boutique shops and specialty stores on Main Street to see the latest fashions, gorgeous jewelry, homemade chocolates, perfect home accents and décor as well as other unique gift items. Then, head over to The Marketplace near Copps Hill Plaza to shop in their specialty gourmet markets. Don’t forget to also stop by Keeler Tavern for their annual Holiday Boutique which features local and handmade gifts.

Festive family activities

Make some holiday family memories in Ridgefield at our town’s annual Tree Lighting ceremony. Sing a few carols, drink some hot chocolate, and take a quick pic with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Or, head over to Keeler Tavern to enjoy their annual Christmas at the Tavern which includes festive decorations, special tours of the museum, and hot spiced cider and cider donuts out on their beautiful terrace.

Festive community events

Ridgefield loves to gather the whole town together to celebrate the holidays. The Holiday Stroll, which happens every December, is our town’s biggest holiday event and has horse-drawn carriage rides, roving carolers, ice sculpting, photos with Santa, and lots of tasty goodies. The Lounsbury House also gets into the holiday spirit with their annual Tree Festival in November that features beautifully decorated trees as well as a holiday boutique full of unique gifts. Also, The Ridgefield Guild of Artists gets into the holiday groove with their annual Festive Home, which is a special holiday showcase of artwork by talented local professionals. Watch video

Music of the season

Get into the holiday spirit with a few special performances in Ridgefield. Listen to some traditional holiday classics and carols at the Ridgefield Chorale’s and the Camerata d’ Amici’s holiday concerts. Then, by moved by the strings, woodwinds, and percussion of the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra’s annual holiday performance.

Warm up from the cold weather with a delicious meal from one of Ridgefield’s acclaimed eateries. Gallo Ristorante in addition to TerraSole feature a seasonal menu along with their usual favorites that incorporates the tastes and flavors of winter. Enjoy the cold and some beautiful winter scenery in Ridgefield. Our natural surroundings look quite magnificent when they are covered with frost and snow. The best way to view our incredible white vistas is on skis or snow shoes as you trek through the hiking trails in one of our state parks and natural preserves. You can also take part in some ice skating at Ridgefield’s Winter Garden Ice Arena.

Ring in the New Year with the annual Taste of Ridgefield in January. Come and enjoy fabulous food and wine from the fantastic eateries in Ridgefield as well as the surrounding areas. All proceeds from the event go to benefit local organizations.
