Springtime has officially arrived and we are excited to share these great events #inRidgefield this month! Annual Egg Scramble
NEW DATE: Sunday, April 2nd
Ballard Park
The Easter Bunny is coming to town! Children will collect eggs, meet the Easter Bunny, and enjoy springtime in the park. This free event is co-sponsored by Ridgefield Parks & Recreation and the Ridgefield Rotary Club.

First Sunday at Keeler Tavern Museum
Sunday, April 2nd
Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center
Visit KTM&HC on the first Sunday of every month for free admission and fun family-friendly experiences for all ages. In April, participants will learn about historic weaving techniques, see examples of weaving in KTM&HC’s collection, and practice weaving themselves!

Fran Lebowitz – A Conversation With A Cultural Icon

The fun starts with the Easter Egg Hunt followed by time at a coloring station where kids can add an artistic touch to this celebration of Easter. There will also be a puppet show and an opportunity for kids to have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny. All are welcome!

The Friends of the Ridgefield Library invite you to stop by the Friends Sorting Room on the Lower Level of the Library for the monthly Secret Stacks Book Sale! There will be items for all ages and interests, including fiction, mysteries, trade paperbacks, children’s books and more.

Artist’s Reception for Susan Fehlinger

Come meet Susan Fehlinger at the artist’s reception from 2:00-4:00 pm! The library is pleased to host artist Susan Fehlinger’s solo art show during the month of April. Fehlinger is a self-taught artist who began painting still lifes and coastal scenes while living on Cape Cod after being a television producer in New York for 35 years. Refreshments will be served at the reception.

Taproom Tastings: Cookbooks
Tuesday, April 11th
Virtual event with Keeler Tavern Museum
Join KTM&HC Chief Curator Catherine Prescott and historian Mary Tsaltas-Ottomanelli, livestreaming from our historic tavern museum, as they investigate historic food and drink cultures. In April, Catherine and Mary dive into historical cookbooks. One of the first resources our hosts go to when researching historic foodways, cookbooks and the recipes shared within give us a peek into the nutrition, morals, manners, and menus of the time they were published.

You are invited to the Grand Opening of Ridgefield’s newest shop, CY Collective! Light refreshments will be served as well as a chance to enter a raffle. Right in the heart of Ridgefield, this new shop features dozens of products from local artists and small businesses. It’s also home to Owner Lina Zhang’s signature line of wire-wrapped jewelry.

Back by popular demand – One Night of Queen returns for two nights! One Night of Queen recreates the sound, look and showmanship of Queen — arguably one of the greatest rock bands of all time. Pick Up supplies (safety vests, trash bags, blue bags for recycling cans & plastic bottles) will be available at select locations.

The Ridgefield Action Committee for the Environment (RACE) is hosting an Earth Day exposition and celebration at the Ridgefield Library. RACE will be joined in this celebration by environmental groups local to the Ridgefield area. Topics will range from electric vehicle charging, solar panels, heat pump technology, to composting, recycling, planting butterfly gardens and pollinator pathways, and more.
