Spring into Fitness: The Best of Wellness in Ridgefield

Spring is a time for a full reset, from refreshing our spaces to getting our bodies out of the restful state that accompanies colder weather. Ridgefield offers a variety of fitness and wellness activities including group classes, yoga and Pilates studios, personal training, healing experiences, and of course, vast outdoor space.

Read on to discover the many ways to feel your best this spring!

Put a Spring in Your Step

There are few better ways to enjoy the beauty of spring than by immersing yourself in the great outdoors! Outdoor activities offer convenience and variety for all ages and activity levels – without the constraints of a schedule. Ridgefield’s many outdoor parks provide miles of trails for running, biking, and hiking.

Check out the Rail Trail, Norwalk River Valley Trail, Hemlock Hills and more for everything from flat terrain to increasing elevation and stunning vistas. You can bring your own kayak to Seth Low Pierrepont and take in the views from the water. And when Martin Park opens in late spring kayak and paddleboard rentals will be available.

When not in use for scheduled play and matches, the Ridgefield High School and Justine H. Butler Tennis Courts are open to the public. Grab your racquets and have some fun with the kids or friends. Speaking of kids, the Dickinson Skate Park is always a great place for them to let some energy loose!

And don’t forget your four-legged friends who are likely itching for some spring weather, too. The Bark Park is a great way to tire them out physically and mentally through socialization…and get in a few sprints yourself chasing after the pups!
