Stay Local

If Aphrodite lived in Ridgefield, you can bet she’d opt for an escape at the West Lane Inn. Overnight escapes don’t have to require long car rides, and this local boutique hotel is the perfect place to get away without a fuss. Cozy and quaint, this charming historic inn will wrap you up romance as you enjoy an in-room fire and a glass of wine.

A Romantic Dinner for Two

Whether you choose to go out or stay in, Ridgefield’s restaurants have you covered. Head south of the border or across the pond to enjoy the cultural flavors at Tablao, Tequila Escape, or TerraSole. Menus full of tantalizing treats and wine will certainly put you in the Valentine’s Day mood. For a more laid-back date, head to Bareburger and choose from a variety of preparations of America’s iconic patty. With so many more restaurants around, be sure to check out our Restaurant Directory for a full list of Ridgefield’s mouth-watering options.

You can also kick off Valentine’s Day a few days early with the special “Love at Lounsbury” Cocktail Party and Fundraiser on Saturday, February 11th. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, a dance demo, raffles, and other treats while supporting this beloved historic community center.

Let Cellar XV and Village Wine & Spirits to fill your glass, and visit 109 Cheese & Wine to create your charcuterie board for you and your sweetheart!

And don’t forget dessert! Even Cupid will have a hard time choosing chocolate and other confections at Deborah Ann’s, and Stacey’s Totally Baked is offering a sweet cookie kit or you can pick festive Valentine cupcakes for two!

Catch a Show

Ridgefield doesn’t lack wonderful entertainment and a show of any kind is the perfect thing to tack on to a dinner date. Get tickets to the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra’s DESTINY concert on February 11th, featuring a duet piano performance by one of classical music’s most passionate composers!

If you prefer to brush hands in the popcorn tub at a movie theater, head to the Prospector Theater and delight in their handmade Belgian Chocolate Toffee or Chocolate Strawberry popcorn, or add some spice for the theater’s festive twist on this silver screen staple.

And don’t forget the shows at our exquisite art galleries! The Ridgefield Guild of Artists will have their first exhibit of the year “Anything Goes” up until February 12th. Catch a glimpse of spring with “Yellow Rain” showing all month at D. Colabella Fine Art, and a stunning sculptural glass art exhibit and group show at RPAC Gallery.

If streaming from home is more your speed, the Keeler Tavern Museum is hosting this month’s Taproom Tastings on Valentine’s Day night, so grab your favorite beverage and learn all about the history of a favorite winter comfort: bread.

Relax & Rejuvenate

Treat each other to a massage without having to be the masseuse! With several spas in town, you’ll find an oasis of relaxation for Valentine’s Day. Adam Broderick Salon & Spa offers a variety of massage styles you can top off with a blow-out or other salon service, or book a session at Susi Laura Massage for specialized massage including prenatal and reflexology. You can even give a massage pack to your Valentine at Elements Massage and make it a habit.

Get Physical

For an active approach to romance, take a refreshing winter hike together along one of Ridgefield’s serene trails. Seth Low Pierrepont, Bennett’s Pond, and Weir Farm National Historic Site offer something for every activity level, including the opportunity to take in a water view, listen to a babbling brook, or enjoy a little hot soup picnic! If one of winter’s most beloved sports inspires you, go skating hand-in-hand at the Winter Garden Ice Arena. And if all the physical activity has you feeling a little tight, you can loosen up together afterward at StretchLab.

Meanwhile, the Keeler Tavern Museum will be hosting some Valentine’s Day-themed fun for all with this month’s First Sunday activities. Make woven paper heart baskets together and bring them home to deliver Valentine’s to each other.

A Little Token of Love
