October Highlights – What’s Happening in Ridgefield!

Ridgefield will be bustling with events and special activities throughout the month of October. From community gatherings and dinner parties to film festivals and theater performances, our town will be full of exciting entertainment and family fun. So, get out your calendars and pick a date to come to Ridgefield!

Evita
ACT of Connecticut
October 4th-November 4th, 2018
As part of their inaugural season, ACT of CT will be performing the extraordinary musical Evita. This Tony winning classic from Andrew Lloyd Weber captures the passion and unforgettable life story of Eva Perón, who rose from poverty in rural Argentina to become the country’s First Lady by the age of 27. 

Mamma Mia!
SPHERE
October 14th, 2018
SPHERE, along with community partners, The Ridgefield Chorale, The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra, and The Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance, will perform this smash-hit musical, featuring songs from ABBA!

Fall in Love with Ridgefield
Downtown Ridgefield
October 19th to October 20th, 2018
Come join the fun at Ridgefield’s annual autumn festival on Main Street! This community-wide event will feature a haunted hayride on Friday night, window painting on Saturday, and the Keeler Tavern’s scarecrow contest. Don’t forget to also check out inRidgefield in front of Addessi Jewelers where we will be offering a raffle for our “Arts & Culture Pass.”

Ridgefield Independent Film Festival
RIFF
October 19th to October 21st, 2018
The Ridgefield Independent Film Festival celebrates independent films from around the world that enlighten, entertain, and inspire moviegoers through compelling visual storytelling. RIFF brings innovative films and filmmakers to the artistically vibrant community of Ridgefield, Connecticut, for an annual four-day festival that includes screenings, panel discussions, and nightly parties.

Grab your costume and join Ridgefield for their annual Halloween Walk down Main Street! Local businesses and organizations will be handing out some treats and other surprises to all those dressed to celebrate Halloween!

4th Annual Family Day
Lounsbury House
October 27th, 2018
Join the Lounsbury House for their annual family day! There will be delectable treats, games, prizes, crafts, live music, and much more! Don’t forget to wear your Halloween costume!

Masquerade at the Museum
The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum
October 31st, 2018
Come to The Aldrich for an evening of fun and candy! Trick or treat with friends and family, and pose in front of their spook-tacular photo backdrops to capture a pic of all the pumpkins, pirates, and princesses of the night!

Pumpkin Patch
Jesse Lee Church
Until October 31st, 2018
Check out the bright orange pumpkins at Jesse Lee Church! This colorful pumpkin patch has become a fall tradition in Ridgefield and all of the proceeds from the Church’s pumpkin sales goes to support a Navajo reservation in New Mexico.
