Ridgefield is bustling with fun autumnal events this month. With Halloween festivities, amazing community-wide events, the RSO debut, film festival and theater – there is something for everyone to enjoy. We’ll see you in Ridgefield!

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS
ACT of Connecticut
October 3rd – 5th
LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS is the comedy rock musical that has taken the country by storm. With music by ACT’s Artistic Advisor Alan Menken, this show is sure to be an “out of this world” smash hit! With hit songs like “Somewhere That’s Green”, “Suddenly Seymour”, and “Feed Me”, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS will leave Fairfield County screaming “Don’t feed the plant!”

Paint and Pour Painting Pumpkins
Ridgefield Guild of Artists
October 4th
Connect with your creative side at our adult Paint & Pour Parties. Painters will be provided with paint supplies, brushes, and a canvas. A featured painting will be the guide and the instructor will help you create a personal work of art. Bring your own wine or beverage and snack of your choice.

Love Your Library
Ridgefield Library
October 4th – 5th
This event will highlight all the activities the library has to offer. Also, it is the library’s hope to raise awareness of the need to raise $.30 of every dollar spent to operate the library every year, as well as raise funds for the library this one weekend. The library is providing “Love Your Library car magnets for free at the Circulation Desk.

Save the date for this annual event and help provide home healthcare services to friends and neighbors in need and sustain the vital programs brought to our communities. There will be a farm to table dinner, craft beer, live music, and live and silent auctions.

Ridgefield Independent Film Festival 2019

The Ridgefield Independent Film Festival (RIFF) celebrates independent films from around the world that enlighten, entertain, and inspire moviegoers through compelling visual storytelling. RIFF brings innovative films and filmmakers to the culturally vibrant community of Ridgefield, Connecticut for an annual four-day festival that includes screenings, panel discussions, special events, and nightly parties.

This event is a fabulous night-out of socializing, shopping and self-pampering for women (and men!) of all ages. Shop at over 20 unique boutiques selling jewelry, accessories, home decor, and other great goods. Learn about Reiki, get a neck and shoulder massage, get an up-do, consult a psychic, experience aromatherapy and more.

Ridgefield’s annual fall event is coming up. There will be many fun activities such as pumpkin painting, haunted hayrides on Friday night, window painting on Saturday, and Keller Tavern’s scarecrow contest.

This open house will include many interactive activities for families with Kindergarten through Grade 3 children. Participate in a nature walk around our beautiful 42-acre campus, take a tour of our Lower School, meet our teachers and head of school, and enjoy a cooking activity in our Kitchen Lab. This is a wonderful way for families to explore all that Ridgefield Academy’s Lower School has to offer!

The Annual Halloween Walk in Downtown Ridgefield

The festival fall celebration kicks off with the Halloween Walk in downtown Ridgefield when local merchants, some in costumes, will open their doors to Ridgefield’s finest trick-or-treaters who are dressed in their Halloween best and celebrating the colorful season of fall.

Keeler Tavern Museum is the only place to experience the spirits of Ridgefield’s past. Visit historic rooms and the people who lived in the Keeler Tavern during the 18th and 19th centuries.

Also be sure to visit the Keeler Tavern Museum Hands On History exhibit this month!

Free Halloween fun sponsored by the Ridgefield Police Department at the Lounsbury House. A fun Halloween celebration with a DJ!

The Aldrich has many great activities this month such as art exhibits, portfolio workshops, and a fashion show fundraiser!
