‘Snow Place Like Home’ Collaborative Fundraiser

December 1st – December 12th
Lounsbury House

This year’s ‘Snow Place Like Home’ event will feature select decorated trees (snow people) on display in our first-floor windows of Lounsbury House. Visitors are invited to walk the grounds, view the beautiful window displays, and vote online for their favorite snowperson(s).

Ridgefield’s beloved Holiday Stroll will feature “Date Night” on Friday with festive holiday musical performances, horse and carriage rides, fun and festive offerings from local businesses, and more! On Saturday, enjoy fun activities for the whole family including a scavenger hunt, magic show, and breakfast with Santa!

The deadline to contribute shoeboxes is Sunday, December 4th.

Visit the museum on the first Sunday of every month for fun family-friendly experiences and activities for all ages! Get started on your holiday shopping with creative and one-of-a-kind gifts at the RGOA’s Art of Giving Art Exhibit! The exhibit takes over the gallery, with everything from gift-sized wall art to a small selection of unique handmade items in 3-D. A Holiday Party and Art Auction fundraiser kicks off the exhibit on Saturday evening, December 3rd from 5-7pm.

Annual Christmas Concert

This concert will feature the children’s choir, adult choir, handbells, worship band, soloists, brass quartet, and more! The program will end with a sing-along of all your favorite Christmas carols and hymns, led by professional brass players. This is a great opportunity to come and sing with the choir for just a few weeks and lift your voice in community with others!

Entertainment icon, Marie Osmond, is coming to Ridgefield to spread holiday cheer with her Symphonic Christmas Tour featuring members of the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra! The Nutcracker

Visions of sugar plums will dance across the stage as the Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance presents Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, under the director of Mary Beth Hansohn. Founders Hall Light Fight

Light displays will be available for the public to enjoy from their vehicles in the annual “Light Fight” and viewers can then vote for their favorite(s) by making a donation to Founders Hall’s diverse programs. This event is inspired and brought to light in 2020, offering residents and business owners an opportunity to “deck the halls” and spread holiday cheer and goodwill.

Wreath Festival

This popular annual event pairs decorating a 24” balsam wreath using unique materials while relaxing by a roaring fire among friends. The festival welcomes nearly 400 guests and raises over $70,000 for the nature center’s programs in environmental education. We look forward to welcoming you to Wreath Festival soon!

An annual tradition, the show returns featuring The Ashurst Academy Irish Dancers. The Celts lineup stars, Ric Blair on vocal-guitar-bodhran and piano along with the lovely Sinead Madden from Dublin, Ireland on vocal and fiddle complemented by an array of top-flight musicians on uilleann pipes, Irish whistles, fiddle, bodhran, banjo, five-string bass, drums and of course, the crowd pleasing Irish dancers.
