Tuesday Night at the Movies with RIFF

From September through December, Ridgefield Independent Film Festival (RIFF) will screen select 2022-23 Finalist Films at The Ridgefield Library for free. Watch and weigh-in! Audience in-put will be used to determine if the film will be screened in May 2023’s 4-Day film Festival.

The featured film for September is Northern Shade by director/editor Christopher Rucinski (2022) from the United States, who is also known for his work on The Adam Project (2022) and Ford v. Ferrari (2019). Rucinski is an award-winning filmmaker and member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild.

Northern Shade is about a disenchanted Army vet who emerges from isolation when his younger brother is recruited by an extremist militia. Watch the trailer
