The Woman’s Hour: The Great Fight to Win the Vote by Elaine Weiss will be read and discussed at KTM&HC and throughout the Ridgefield community during 2020 as part of the First Principles Book Club and Votes For Women: Ridgefield Celebrates the 19th Amendment series.
The National Review says The Woman’s Hour is “Riveting… Weiss provides a multidimensional account of the political crusade… The result is a vivid work of American history.”
Also, don’t miss author Elaine Weiss, who will be speaking at the Ridgefield Library on Sunday, April 19, 2020 about the suffrage movement and the political infighting and intrigue that went along with the passage of the 19th Amendment.
The event is free, but please register here.
