Teacher Professional Development: Processing Twenty Twenty in 2020: Examining Grief and Injustice Together

A workshop developed for educators galvanized by the ongoing conversations around systemic racial injustice. Please join social justice educators Aliza Greenberg, who is also an inclusion specialist and classroom teacher, and Alyssa Liles-Amponsah, who is also a painter and curriculum developer, along with Aldrich Educator Danielle Ogden to share space and explore strategies for processing difficult issues, including racism, able-ism, and more within ourselves, in our communities, and in the classroom.

Aliza Greenberg is the Arts Enrichment Coordinator at LearningSpring School, the Project Leader for Supporting Transitions with the Museum, Arts and Culture Access Consortium (MAC), a teaching artist with CO/LAB Theater Group, and an arts education consultant focused on access and inclusion. Aliza is also a chair of Continuing the Conversation, an alumni network of the Arts in Education program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Alyssa Liles-Amponsah is an artist and Associate Director of Diversity Initiatives and Community Relations at Temple University. Alyssa’s works as a diversity, inclusion, and equity consultant for many organizations, including Arts Connect International for the Cultural Equity Learning Community. Alyssa is also a chair of Continuing the Conversation, an alumni network of the Arts in Education program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Alyssa holds a BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University, an MA in African American and African Diaspora Studies from Indiana University, Bloomington and an Ed.M in Arts in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
