Our popular virtual series, in collaboration with Fraunces Tavern in New York City, continues!

In a time before antibiotics, anesthesia, and antiseptics, how did 18th century Americans treat ailments and prevent illness? Jeanne E. Abrams, author of Revolutionary Medicine: The Founding Fathers and Mothers in Sickness and in Health, will join KTM&HC’s Catherine Prescott and FTM’s Mary Tsaltas-Ottomanelli to explore the history of public health in colonial North America and the role a handful of Founding Fathers and Mothers played in its evolution.

This program will take place via Zoom. Admission is free with a suggested donation of $10.

Tavern Tastings is supported in part by a generous grant from the Wadsworth Russell Lewis Trust Fund.
