Raul Malo is best known as the founder and frontman of Grammy-winning, multi-platinum band, The Mavericks. Equal parts Orbison and Pavarotti, Raul Malo is one of the most powerful singers working in any genre. As the sole writer of many of The Maverick’s songs, he is credited for penning the timeless hits “Here Comes the Rain,” “What A Crying Shame,” “Dance The Night Away,” “Back In Your Arms Again” and “All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down” among many others. From his earliest days, when his raucous sound broke ground at the punk clubs on Miami Beach more than three decades ago, to recording with the band for their first album entirely in Spanish, En Español, Malo has demonstrated an unfailing skill for getting people to groove.
