Event Details

On Saturday, January 30 from 2:00-3:30 pm, Ridgefield for Anti-Racist Education (RARE) will be holding a virtual discussion of the Preface and Chapters 1 & 2 of the book Pedagogy of the Oppressed by Paulo Freire. A link to a PDF of the entire book is available in the RSVP form below. We plan to hold another discussion of the remaining book chapters in mid-February.

In building a more compassionate and conscious society, RARE’s goal is to provide reflection spaces where people of all ages are encouraged to engage in dialogues and share their thoughts about challenges in our society and education system.

Who is Ridgefield for Anti-Racist Education (RARE)?

RARE is a youth-led group consisting of over 30 current and former Ridgefield Public School students. Our mission is to advocate for, support, and advance the well-being of Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) starting with our public school system.
