Starting Saturday, January 9, Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center will offer docent-led outdoor tours. Tours are scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays at 1 and 2 p.m., and Wednesdays at 11 a.m., weather permitting. Initially, KTM&HC will offer two tours, one focused on Cass Gilbert based on the museum’s self-guided walking tour and a highlights tour of three centuries of history, with new tours in development. Each tour will last about 45 minutes. Be sure to dress appropriately and to wear comfortable shoes suitable for covering uneven terrain. If the weather is potentially inclement, tours may be postponed. Please check the website for status updates.
Due to the pandemic, tour groups will be limited to eight people. Visitors must wear masks and are asked to observe social-distancing protocols. Tours will start on the back patio of the Visitor Center, but the Visitor Center will not be open on weekends. Tours are free, but a $5 donation is suggested. Link for registration coming soon.
