Event Details

Ridgefield Guild of Artists is thrilled to be back with our Festive Home annual holiday extravaganza after a year’s hiatus due to COVID. It’s our traditional holiday pop-up in the gallery located at the bottom of the hill on Halpin, just before the Rail Trail. Our biggest fundraiser of the year for the Guild opens this Friday, November 19th, with a special preview day Open House party for an admission of $20 at the door. Hours are 11am-5pm. Festive refreshments will be served. Come and get the first peek!

The sale then runs from Saturday, November 20th through Sunday, December 19th with free admission. We will be open Wednesdays through Sundays, 11-5 each week. We will be closed the week of Thanksgiving through Thursday, November 25th, opening again on Friday, November 26th. Have a Happy Thanksgiving with family and friends and then come out to shop small with the Guild and local in beautiful downtown Ridgefield for the holidays.

“With our theme of “Reimagined” in mind and aware of our national move toward more conservation and less unnecessary consumption, we are making an effort to re-use, re-purpose, re-cycle and up-cycle whatever we can this year, all while inspiring a creative and special holiday season,” explains Pam Stoddart, Executive Director and Co-Chair for the Festive Home fundraiser. “We will concentrate on hand-made and hand-selected gift items, along with recycled and upcycled furniture, décor and gift items wherever possible.” We are also partnering with The Restore, the Housatonic Habitat for Humanity’s shop in Danbury, working together to bring our theme to life.

Since The Guild is an arts organization, we will concentrate on our talented members and local artisans-at-large in three ways: original artwork covering our gallery walls, hand-crafted gift items, and donated small canvases, all of which will be available for sale, and in support of our artists and the Guild for future programing. “We are excited to have a record of roughly fifty artists and fifty artisans participating this year!” says Mary Pat Devine, President and Co-Chair of Festive Home 2021. “So, it may look a bit different this year, ‘reimagined’ in many ways, but we’re hoping our visitors will still enjoy holiday shopping at the Guild.”

We are mindful that COVID is still with us and are taking measures to keep all our visitors safe by following the local, state and federal regulations on combatting this tenacious decease.
Our hope is for a safe and happy holiday season for all. We will require masks inside.

We thank all our volunteers at the Guild and NCL who have helped to bring our Festive vision to life. Also, we thank our sponsors for the 16th Annual Festive Home…Reimagined event: Karla Murtaugh Homes, Tusk and Cup, Sand Wedge, HamletHub, The Tweaked Home, along with graphics by Mara Freeman.

Ridgefield Guild of Artists’ antique gallery barn is located at 34 Halpin Lane, at the bottom of the hill just before Ridgefield’s Rail Trail.
