with Make Music Ridgefield
participating in a global celebration
of making music on the longest day of the year
Make Music Ridgefield is pleased to announce that Steinway of Greenwich will be donating a piano which will be placed on Main Street for anyone to stop by and play during Make Music Day on Friday, June 21. Special guest artist Jon Batiste, who is performing that evening at the Ridgefield Playhouse, will stop by during the day for an impromptu “Make Music Day” performance!! Thanks to Allison Stockel from the Ridgefield Playhouse for making this happen. Other events include:
The School of Rock will be hosting an instrument “petting zoo” near the stage in Ballard Park – a great opportunity to try out a new instrument.
The Ridgefield Library will be hosting a community sing-a-long with Cantor Deborah Katchko-Grey at 1pm.
Members of the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra will be playing in front of Town Hall at 12:30pm. They will also be joined by members of the Western CT. Youth Orchestra.
We welcome all musicians, singers and music makers to register online at www.makemusicday.org/ridgefield. Businesses that would like to host can register at the same site.
