Terrence Mahon’s “FIRST RESPONSE: A Collection of Work”

D.Colabella Fine Art Gallery, located at 410 Main Street, Ridgefield, is pleased to present Terrence Mahon l FIRST RESPONSE: A Collection of Works, an exhibition taking a direct look at several cases of police brutality and social injustice between 2015 and 2020 through the lens of a multimedia installation.

Owner Dee Dee Colabella says about the exhibition, “We are excited to present a show that continues a dialogue on a subject that is very timely.” This large-scale installation forces a three-dimensional encounter with the details of these events to enshrine a declaration for care, humanity, and dignity while calling to redefine the standard for first response action.

Terrence Mahon, originally from Ohio, is a multimedia artist based in Connecticut. Mahon graduated with a degree in Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati, Design and Architecture Program before going on to a career in product and three-dimensional design, working as a design studio manager for Kohler Company. His work can be found in several collections throughout the Northeast ranging from oil on canvas, to plaster figurative sculptures, and wood/metal works.
