In an Instant: Polaroids for The Aldrich

We are debuting a new fundraiser, In an Instant: Polaroids for The Aldrich, to support the Museum in response to the effects of closing during the COVID-19 pandemic. We sent thirty-one Aldrich alumni artists a Polaroid camera and asked them to return eight photographs for us to sell to support the Museum during this difficult time. The works for sale range widely and are all priced at $175, unframed. The sale will launch at 12 noon on Monday, July 6 and will close at 5 pm on Monday, July 13 and can be accessed via a dedicated micro-site, www.polaroidsforthealdrich.org. Your purchase will sustain the Museum as it offers artists first museum exhibitions, first museum publications, and first public renderings of new directions. The participating artists have all had solo exhibitions at The Aldrich or have been included in group exhibitions. We are grateful for their support. In solidarity with the movement to end systemic racism and in recognition of the crucial importance of Black artists to a vibrant and healthy arts community, The Aldrich will contribute $5,000 from In an Instant to Black Art Futures Fund, a philanthropic fund that supports Black arts organizations.
