Geena Rocero Horse Barbie: A Memoir Release

In honor of LGBTQ+ Pride Month, we are proud to present the CT book release event for Horse Barbie, a memoir by trans model and activist, Geena Rocero.

This special evening features an on stage interview and audience Q&A. Born and raised in the Philippines, Geena Rocero is an award-winning producer, director, model, public speaker, trans rights advocate, and television host, who was named one of Gold House’s 2020 #A100 most impactful Asians and Pacific Islanders. Her directorial debut Caretakers (PBS), a docuseries about Filipinos in care work, received four Emmy nominations. In her debut literary effort, Horse Barbie (Penguin Random House / May 30, 2023), Rocero’s story is “the dazzling, heartfelt memoir of a trans pageant queen from the Philippines who went back into the closet to model in New York City—until she realized that living her truth was the only way to step into her full power.”

Each ticket includes a hardcover copy of Horse Barbie and a book signing will follow the event.
