First Sunday at Keeler Tavern Museum

Visit KTM&HC on the first Sunday of every month for fun family-friendly experiences and activities that will engage museum-goers of all ages. On First Sundays, all visitors receive free site admission, which includes a tour of our historic tavern museum and access to our current exhibits and beautiful grounds. Free site admission also includes, from 1 to 4 p.m., special hands-on activities and crafts in the historic Garden House. Don’t miss out on a great opportunity to explore our museum and get creative with friends, family, and KTM&HC staff.

In honor of National Poppy Day on May 27th – a day to honor those who served and died for our county in all wars – participants will sew silk poppies to make a pin. National Poppy Day originated as a day to mark soldiers’ sacrifices in World War I, and the activity will also link to our site-specific history and the ways the Gilbert family were impacted by that war and contributed to the war effort. Drop in any time between 1 and 4 p.m. to participate in the activity, led by KTM&HC educators. Registration is not required.
