CHIRP Concert: The Steel Wheels

PLEASE NOTE: CHIRP CONCERTS BEGIN AT 7:00 PM!

Update on 8/10/23: Tonight’s concert featuring The Steel Wheels will take place at The Ridgefield Playhouse.

Due to today’s weather, we hope you’ll join us at The Ridgefield Playhouse, a beautiful, air-conditioned venue. Remember though, no outside food or drink may be brought into the Playhouse. Concessions are available in the Playhouse including beer and wine.

CHIRP will present free outdoor family concerts open to the public in Ridgefield’s Ballard Park every Tuesday and Thursday from  June 6 through August 31, 2023. Help bring FREE concerts to everyone! Please donate to CHIRP and like us on Facebook for the most up-to-date information.

About The Steel Wheels: Long at home in the creative space between tradition and innovation and informed by the familiar sounds of the Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains where thee band was formed, The Steel Wheels play a strong brew of original soulful mountain music that springs in part from their shared Mennonite heritage.

A note about parking:
Folks, parking has become a big concern so please adhere to the following:
Passengers & Coolers may be dropped off at the CVS entrance to Ballard Park. From there, please follow the directions on the signs and of the parking enforcement personnel to locate parking. Please be considerate and do not park in front of open restaurants anywhere in town unless you are also eating there.

About CHIRP
CHIRP is an acronym for Concert Happenings in Ridgefield’s Parks and was begun in the summer of 2002 to foster a stronger sense of community among residents and to enhance Ridgefield’s much treasured “small town feel.” Its concerts seek to bring townspeople together in a relaxed atmosphere comfortable for people of every economic strata, age bracket and ethnicity. Its mission is to afford them the opportunity to hear and hopefully to enjoy a variety of world and alternative music only infrequently performed in this area.
