CHIRP Concert: Pokey LaFarge

CHIRP is a series of free Tuesday and Thursday night summer concerts in Ballard Park located in the heart of Ridgefield. CHIRP is totally funded by individual and foundation donations as well as contributions from local businesses. It is co-sponsored by the town of Ridgefield through its Parks & Rec. Dep’t. and The Ridgefield Press.

Concerts begin at 7p.m. Please understand that we love dogs BUT they are not permitted in Ballard Park. All attendees must be wearing a mask to enter Ballard Park on the night of the show.

Pokey LaFarge

Ever since his first record, 2006’s self-released Marmalade, LaFarge has been a difficult specimen to pin down. Timelessness, and refined good taste, is LaFarge’s raison d’être, and his influences are as multi-hued and wide-ranging as the rhythms that buoy his starkly poetic songs — rhythms that are steeped in the very essence of jazz.
