If your child is interested in taking up a classical or band instrument, then join musicians and leaders from Western Connecticut Youth Orchestra (WCYO) for this free, informative, and music-filled event on Saturday, May 13th at 11:00 am at the Ridgefield Library..
Local youth musicians share their musical journey – the joys, challenges, and opportunities that come with being a musician in Ridgefield. Local music leaders will join them to share the music programs available in Ridgefield – from music lessons to school programs to advanced performance opportunities.
Watch and enjoy as youth musicians demonstrate their instruments and fill the Children’s Library with music at 11:30! Performances will feature musicians from Ridgefield-based WCYO with a finale performance from chamber musicians from its Charles Ives Music Festival youth education program.
