Event Details

Join author Aimee Pokwatka at the Ridgefield Library on Thursday, October 27th at 7:00 pm as she discusses her new novel, Self Portrait with Nothing. Combining a thrilling pan-continental race against time with an authentic and touching personal drama, Self-Portrait with Nothing is an unforgettable debut that explores what it means to be part of a family. Please register.

Abandoned as an infant, Pepper was raised by two loving mothers, and now, at 36 is married to the stable, supportive Ike. She’s never told anyone that at 15 she discovered the identity of her biological mother. That’s because her birth mother is Ula Frost, a reclusive painter famous for the outrageous claims that her portraits summon their subjects’ doppelgängers from parallel universes. Now Ula’s gone missing.

The Library’s Fall Author talk series continues the very next night (October 28th) with author (and RHS grad!) Cody Keenan discussing his book, GRACE: President Obama and Ten Days in the Battle for America. Learn more.

At each event, co-sponsor Books on the Common will have copies of the books available for purchase and signing.
