Ninth Annual Art Walk Strolls Into Town!

Opening Weekend Festivities:
Friday, August 26, 5-8pm: Meet & Greet the Artists
Saturday, August 27, 12-4pm: Artists Demonstrations

Art Walk 2022 comes to town on Friday, August 26 and runs through September 11. Now in our ninth year, Ridgefield Guild of Artists is pleased to bring this annual “end of summer” event to the Ridgefield Community. Forty-eight artists will showcase their works in thirty-six venues along Main Street and Bailey Avenue.

Opening weekend festivities include artist “meet and greets” Friday evening, August 26 from 5-8pm. Many of the artists will also be out on Saturday, August 27 from noon-4pm demonstrating their craft, with some of them selling smaller, hand-made wares. Art Walk brings art, music, and a festive atmosphere to downtown Ridgefield. It’s a tradition now!

“We present our Guild artists to the community,” says Pam Stoddart, Executive Director and Chair for the event. “We hope you will join us by strolling along downtown Ridgefield streets to see their works and celebrate them.”

The Guild thanks our Art Walk sponsors and contributors helping to make this event possible: Fairfield County Bank, Ridgefield Apartments, RPAC Gallery, Sturges Brothers, and graphic designers Kristin Healy and Mara Freeman. We appreciate the generosity and cooperation of all the participating merchants who welcome and find the space to showcase the Art Walk artists.

“Visit us at the information table in front of Town Hall on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon for directions, maps and to process sales.”  Maps of participating artists and stores are also available at each venue.  Art Walk continues after the opening weekend festivities with artwork remaining in downtown Ridgefield through Sunday, September 11.  After Saturday, August 27, sales will be processed through the Guild by calling 203.438.8863 or emailing [email protected].
