On Thursday, November 10th at 6:30 pm at the Ridgefield Library, ArtScapades will look at Futurism, an early 20th century art movement which aimed to capture the dynamism and energy of the modern world in art. Futurists wanted to depict visually the perception of movement, speed, and change.

This lecture will look at the lives and works of three Italian artists, Giacomo Balla, Umberto Boccioni, and Gino Severini, and the English Futurist C.R.W. Nevinson, a contemporary of H.G. Wells.

Wine and cheese will be served.
