A family-friendly evening of music and poetry to celebrate Black History Month!
Three renowned Connecticut Poets Laureate will share their work: Frederick-Douglass Knowles II of Hartford, Ryan Parker of Manchester, and Michael “Chief” Peterson of New Britain.
Khaiim “RapOet” Kelly (aka Self Suffice)–the inaugural troubadour of the City of Hartford, whose positive use of rap music has been recognized by the Obama White House, The NY Times, and NPR–will also perform.
A talkback with the artists will follow. Ridgefield Poet Laureate, Barb Jennes, will host.
This event is in-person at the Ridgefield Library. All ages welcome!
