Art Walk in Downtown Ridgefield: A Beloved Summer Tradition

Art Walk 2021

Ridgefield’s beloved summer tradition is back! The Ridgefield Guild of Artists presents Art Walk Ridgefield, when the streets of downtown Ridgefield turn into a strolling art gallery.

The 8th Annual Art Walk 2021 will kick off on Friday, August 27th with a colorful and exciting weekend in downtown Ridgefield! The event will run and will be available for viewing through September 12th. Opening weekend will feature meet and greets with the artists, art demonstrations, live music, and art available for purchase.

Who is participating in this year’s Art Walk?
Over 30 merchants along Main Street and Bailey Avenue in Ridgefield will “host” the 42 individual local artists who were carefully selected for the 8th Annual Art Walk. On Saturday, August 28th, artists at each storefront will present their paintings, photography, and sculptures to visitors, as well as performing demonstrations of their work and process. “It’s our end of summer celebration! We look forward to welcoming our artists and local ‘strollers’ to Art Walk this year.” – Pam Stoddart, Executive Director of Ridgefield Guild of Artists and Chair of Art Walk 2021

What is the purpose of Art Walk?
Art Walk brings the community together during this annual end of summer event! It is also a fundraising event to benefit The Ridgefield Guild of Artists. All artwork is for sale and proceeds are shared between the artists and RGOA, a 501c3 non-profit organization. The Guild’s portion helps with general expenses and future programming.

How can I purchase pieces of art?
Visit The Guild at the information table in front of Town Hall on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon to process sales. After Saturday, August 28th, sales will be processed by calling 203.438.8863 or emailing [email protected].

“Working on our end of summer tradition gives us a lot of hope. We love our Ridgefield community and thank everyone for your support of the arts.” – Mary Pat Devine, President of the Ridgefield Guild of Artists
